GPS Spot Update

Surprisingly there are at least 3 people on board with the GPS Spot units. The units are a distinctive orange color. However, it is easy to have them accidentally picked up as lost. When you send a signal it can take up to 20 min. to send the signal. As a result, you end up putting it down and leaving it while you eat, swim or walk around the track. I've seen folks peering at mine a number of times wondering if they should turn it in to the lost and found. Yesterday I left mine on the pool deck but thankfully it was turned in to lost and found.

I am sending signals but I'm told they are not always coming in. There is a map on the web site which shows the coverage area. We may have been in some blind spots through the South Pacific.
