New Mattress!!!

I slept 10.5 hours last night! The Tahitian Princess allocated one of the new mattresses they brought on board to me. It was installed yesterday and this morning I was so well rested. If you have been following along you'll remember that the one I originally had was debilitating. It was swapped out for one not in such bad shape but still not that great. At that time they said they were getting some new ones in Papeete. I wasn't sure if they would give me one or not and I was OK with the second one but am glad that they gave me one of the new ones. It made a real difference last night.

Sea days are wonderful in their own way but not nearly as exciting as port days. As a result, you get to hear things like the following. I did my laundry (with one dryer flaking out it took longer than anticipated but still not too bad), water exercises (kept getting washed around the pool due to the surf) and read a book. The weather was hot, humid and sunny. We had a rain shower in the middle of the day. The captain announced the reason that we are rolling so much is that the waves are coming in a certain direction. I have my sea stomach back and am not getting sea sick.

Tomorrow we hopefully get to Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. The captain mentioned the weather potentially being a issue and he will let us know. It is a tender port so were not sure if we will make it. If we do, I'm hoping to go to Muri beach for some more snorkeling and swimming. Muri beach is 8 miles of white sand and reputed to be spectacular.
