No sooner than we had left the sight of land, the water kicked up. The winds, which were already high, kicked into a higher gear. And we were rocking and rolling our way through the day. Previously the ship seemed to roll more. Today it bumped along, with more rising and falling of the bow and aft. There was much bumping of the hull by the waves, creaking of the ship (elevators for example) and general stomach lurching drops.
I stuck close to my room for most of the day. Unfortunately before the sea kicked up I had scheduled a spa appt. for the afternoon. It was lovely but the therapist said this is the roughest it has been for the 8 months she has been aboard.
Being on deck 4 I can really see the height of the waves outside my window. It is fun to watch.
The Tahitian passenger choir performed today. They did a nice job and for the part I saw maintained their footing spectacularly.
Yesterday I saw the Maori folkloric show. It was fabulous! They have a dance at the end which is their intimidate the enemy dance. The men jump around slapping themselves, bulging their eyes out and sticking their tongues out. The women are similar without so much jumping. It was very entertaining.

Thanks for the great pictures. That skywalk look like lots of fun. I hope the sea goes down for you. We also had some rough ones but nothing like that. I sure enjoy your writing. I know that the best is yet to come for your trip but looks like you have enjoyed what you have seen.
