Interesting architectural details

Pic. 1 is of the entrance way to a particularly fancy house. It had crown molding and tiles lining it. You can see the water collection basin in the background. All the homes had these. Unfortunately this house was closed for conservation so I didn't get to see the rest of it.

Pic. 2 is of the ceiling in another fancy house. In the foreground is a wood screen that has been enclosed in glass for it's protection. It was used to separate the rooms. You can see the red color of the upper story.

Pic. 3 is of columns with the fluting on. Many of the columns were finished with what must have been plaster molded to look like sculptured marble.
