We then headed back to our hotel (we settled for the non-approved hotel in exchange for a Nile river dinner cruise the following night) for dinner. First we checked in. There was one small problem. Three of our rooms had no lights. My room was pitch black so I pulled out my flashlight to call the front desk. The phone wasn't working either. These are the reason's I do not accept a hotel reservation when a hotel is undergoing renovation. A visit to the front desk they promised to get everything working and we proceeded to dinner.
We ate in the Sheraton's Indian restaurant and it was the best Indian food I have had on the trip so far. Yum!
Then it was back up to my room, which was now lit, for bed. It turned out to be a beautiful room. Unfortunately unknown to me one of the group had no air conditioning all night long so all was not perfect.
The next morning there was a beautiful view of the Nile with the hot air balloons that can be booked as an optional tour taking off into the air.
