Right near it was the Red Pyramid (pic. 2). This is due to the color of the stone. Unfortunately I did not realize that we weren't going to climb up to the entrance until we were driving by it on the way out. I polled the group and no one else wanted to climb up and go in so we continued on but I really regretted it as the entrance was included in the ticket price whereas the Great Pyramid charged extra to go in.
Pic. 3 is of the tourist police at the pyramid. We saw tourist police everywhere. Their job was to look after the tourist. When we were at the Nile dinner cruise we needed to wait for our tour operator to come back because one tour participant needed to go to the hotel and skip the cruise. When we went out to the curb the tourist police asked us who our operator was and sent us back to the boat to wait until our operator came. It wasn't the operators fault because he indicated there wouldn't be time to get to the hotel and back before the dinner cruise was over and he was very reluctant to leave us but our person was getting sick and needed to go to the hotel. We explained this to the tourist police who still gave the operator a hard time when he came to pick us up and he had to explain it also.
