Our guide asked us if we wanted to stop at a silk carpet school. Everyone voted to do it so we stopped. Pic. 1 is of a 17 year old who has been making carpets for 10 years. She was amazingly fast. Our guide painted a rosy picture of how the schools pay the kids, train them in a craft, provide health insurance etc. Hard to know whether this is good or not depending on the situation of the kids and their options.
