More Burj Al Arab interior pics

Pic. 1 is of an entrance to a restaurant. Pic. 2 is of the detail work in the floor. Pic. 3 is of the gift shop where you can get your very own sheikh picture to to take home with you. In the jewelry shop I tried on a necklace and earring set costing $327,000. If I was serious they of course could come down a bit. I had to give it a pass.

Our guide told us that all the gold you see in the columns or anywhere in the hotel was real gold leaf. Amazing!

After delivering my tour companions to their tea the guide and I retired to a lovely desert themed hotel and entertainment complex, the Souk Madinat Jumeirah to have a nice lunch. I very much enjoyed chatting with her during this time. She was an excellent guide and very proud of Dubai. Very few people working in Dubai are from the area originally. Her home country was South Africa. I would not hesitate to book her again. Her contact details are: Ms Shehnaaz oceancalm@yahoo.com. Her English was excellent and she spoke loud enough that all 5 of us could hear her at all times.
