Fierce statue and food

In a side building (shrine?) this fierce statue (pic. 1) and his partner were located.

As we strolled back to the ferry we saw many food vendors and shops. Oysters (pic. 2) are popular as well as fish paste cakes (pic. 3). They were in a maple leaf shape which was representative of being from this island.
