From Tiananmen Square we stopped at a silk factory, took a tour of silk making and did a little shopping before heading back to have a late dinner at the hotel. It had been a long full day.

Tiananmen Square
We headed back to Tiananmen Square for a quick tour. The roads were still closed but we were able to get in by taking the long route around. We had to pass through metal detectors and pass a wand search before we could enter. There were still lots of soldiers around but not so many of different varieties as we saw before. The square was huge, surrounded by govt. buildings and had very few decorations. The stone sculpture and it's mate were one of the exceptions.
