Ta Prohm - Temple with trees growing on it

The highlights of this temple are often seen as the trees that grew on top of the ceilings and walls and put down roots from there into the ground. They are enormous! It is amazing that any structures survived the weight of the trees.

Many of the temples we saw were being restored by the Indian or Japanese govt. Ta Prohm was being restored by India. The restoration involves solving drainage problems, supporting the foundations, reassembling the structures from the stones on the ground, creating new stones to replace missing ones, bracing the structures to stabilize them and make them safe etc.
